Recipe:
66g Purified Water
28g Sodium Hydroxide (Caustic Soda, Lye, NaOH)
80g Olive Oil
40g Sunflower Oil
60g Coconut Oil
20g Shea ButterEssential Oil (optional)
Additives:
Sodium Lactate: helps to harden the soap, added to cooled lye water, use 1 tsp per 500g of oil.
Stearic Acid: helps to harden the soap, use 0.5% in total batch
Clays: add to traced soap use 5-20% in total batch
Activated Charcoal: hydrate in oil or water before adding to traced soap, use 1-2 teaspoons per kilogram of soap
Titanium Dioxide: helps to brighten the soap, hydrate in oil or water before adding to traced soap, use 2-5g per kilogram of soap
Liquid Brites: adds colour to the soap, add when soap reaches trace
Cold Process Powder Colourant: adds colour to the soap, hydrate in oil or water before adding to traced soap to avoid speckling, use 1-2 teaspoons per kilogram of soap
Oxides: natural soap colourant, hydrate in oil or water before adding to traced soap to avoid speckling, use 1/2 teaspoon per kilogram of soap
Fragrance: artificially adds scent to soap, add after soap reaches trace. Calculate the usage rate with a fragrance calculator (www.brambleberry.com/pages/Fragrance-Calculator.aspx)
Pumice: exfoliant, add at medium to heavy trace for the best suspension
Scrub Granules: exfoliant, add at medium trace for the best suspension, usage rate is 5-15%
Shredded Loofah: exfoliant, add at medium trace
Salt: exfoliant, add at medium trace

Coconut Oil: Palm Kernel Flakes, Tallow
Olive Oil: Rice Bran Oil, Canola Oil, Grapeseed Oil
